Brand: Sunglasses Shop
Date: 31st January 2019 (Ongoing)
Brief: The goal of the How to Wear campaign was to show customers ways they can style certain sunglasses with different outfits based on a theme. I picked the theme of New Year resolutions and winter sun. To make this campaign different and more interesting than others, I picked clothes and outfits to shoot to add depth and quality to the customers’ experience. This How to Wear campaign included an email and two landing pages – one for women and one for men. It was my idea to have two separate landing pages as I wanted to create a unique experience for the different genders. This was also a great opportunity to write editorial content exclusively for men, which is something I have not really done before.
This campaign was very different from others I have worked on. I was responsible for copy, art direction, ordering the pieces and getting everything together on time. I also edited the content and helped build the landing pages.
Inspiration: I took inspiration from the fact that January is known to be the month lots of people want to start exercising and getting fit. I then tied that in with winter sun and how it’s still important to make sure eyes are protected even if it is cold outside. My inspiration for product selection came from current trends such as oversized sunglasses, interesting details and bright colours. I also wanted to use wearable pieces that would look good on an actual person in order to truly bring the editorial to life.

Title: BEAT THE WINTER SUN IN STYLE
Header: SUNGLASSES NO MATTER WHAT YOU’RE DOING
Subheader: When you’ve got a workout booked for 10 but brunch with friends at 11
Intro: From trying to kick-start a new workout regimen to making an effort to drink more water, January comes with high expectations. One thing you shouldn’t have to worry about though is looking good especially when the sun comes out. So whether you’ve managed to stay fit for more than five days, or want to look like you have – hey we won’t judge – beat the winter sun in style, always.
Paragraph 1: Anything oversized is your best friend, and these oversized black Ray-Ban® aviators more than make the cut. With stealthy green lenses that look deceivingly black, you want shades that hide your face from the world and your eyes from the sun. These ladies, really fit the bill. Aviators are known to be tough and edgy, which make these perfect for showing January you mean business with your new fitness goals. What’s more, the RB3026 is a great example of how the classic aviator has been given a sleeker, more modern upgrade to become a must-have item. For maximum impact, pair with something bright and zany so that you look bright and bubbly, even though the treadmill is the last thing on your mind. Black not your thing? You can choose the RB3026 in four other colours!
Paragraph 2: Now, when it comes to a sturdier, bolder, more dramatic frame, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention this Fendi masterpiece. The FF0264 are perfect for that post-workout brunch or all day shopping trip you’ll embark on. Our favourite thing about these sunglasses? The arms. We love the mix of tortoiseshell and pink and black acetate that adds a spark of fun and personality. This cute addition makes these sunnies chic enough for everyday wear, but also versatile enough to turn heads. Again, match with something bright and colourful to combat the winter cold. Or be like the fashion set and wear with all black so that the detail on the arm is the main attraction.
Paragraph 3: Like we mentioned above, anything oversized is your best friend, and these are set to be your bestie for life.

Subheader: Put performance and practicality first
Intro: Decided to ditch the gym in favour of some outdoor exercise? Well you’re going to need a pair of sunglasses that not only look good but that offer practicality and ease of use. And that is where brands like adidas and Oakley come in. Their designs are perfect for a multitude of sport including fishing, running, golf and walking to the supermarket to pick up the milk you forgot. Perfect for the style-conscious and active guy alike, you can beat their great offerings.
Paragraph 1: So, what can you expect from the adidas? Favourites like the Whipstart come in different variations. An adjustable double-snap nose pad and traction grip ensures a comfortable fit, while a nifty anti-slip feature at the temples means these frames will stay in place when you’re keeping active. Other key features include an SPX® frame, a light material that holds up against wear and tear, as well as Flex Zones™ technology that provides comfort and flexibility. The Whipstart is also equipped with wrapped temples so that the glasses fit better and more comfortably around the face and head. And if that wasn’t enough, you can also expect a shock-resistant polycarbonate and curved lens that enhances your periphery vision. Additionally look to similar adidas styles like the 3Matic, AD30 Wayfinder and Kumacross.
Paragraph 2: For a no-nonsense design that puts performance at the forefront of everything, we have to call out the slew of half-rimmed styles Oakley is known for. Styles like the Bottle Rocket, the Half Jacket, Flak Draft and Flak 2.0 speak to the technical design that has put the brand on the sporting map. These polarised frames offer lightweight but extremely durable O Matter® frames that set Oakley sunglasses apart from others on the market. Unlike most polarised frames, there’s no optical distortion or haze with the Bottle Rocket, so you’re welcome to enjoy glare-free vision. Plus thanks to Oakley’s High Definition Optics® you’ll be living life to fullest with optimal visual clarity.
Paragraph 3: With eyewear options like these, you no longer have an excuse to not put your best face forward.
