Brief: l’Editorial was part of the fashion and style hub on Eyewear Brands called The Eye.  It was my responsibility to research, source and write accurately about pieces that would keep customers ahead of the curve. Here I wrote about different trends in fashion and interior design, and applied them to sunglasses and eyewear. l’Editorial was featured at the bottom of each email for a few months and helped drive traffic to the site. I also wrote copy for a hotspot that appeared on the Eyewear Brands homepage

Inspiration: I took inspiration from current trends, fashion shows, street style, interior design sites like Dering Hall, and from popular fashion sites like Who What Wear, Vogue, Refinery29 etc.

August

Copy: While embellishments are typically associated with night, you can expect to see more of them during the day in the coming season. Adding the perfect finishing touch to any look, go as big as you like or as subtle as you like with embellished frames.

Title: PURPLE PATCH

Copy: Purple is the rich colour known for its luxurious finish and strong presence. Pantone recently released a new hue in commemoration of the late musician Prince’s favourite colour, and if that’s not reason enough to update your style with something purple, we don’t know what is.

Title: WINTER FLORALS

Copy: Florals are set to be huge this season, but not the dainty, girly print that we’re used to. Instead, think dark, moody patterns for a sexy and mysterious feel that will go with any outfit, no matter the day.

Copy: Lighten up the dark days with something bright, colourful and unexpected like yellow. The standout hue ruled the streets during fashion week, and adds a playful edge to any outfit.

January

Title: CHARCOAL

Copy: Something of a laidback cousin to everyone’s favourite colour, black, dark grey shades including gunmetal and charcoal make for stylish alternatives. Just as mysterious and hardwearing as their black counterpart, these make for a great frame option.

Title: SQUARE

Copy: The square frame, in all its classic, stylish and chic glory, offers an old-school yet contemporary vibe, making it perfectly wearable for every day. We personally love the trendy and understated look of an oversized frame. What’s not to love?

Title: TWINKLE, TWINKLE

Copy: Add a spark of gold to your look with something that’ll truly dazzle. Grey days may currently be the norm, but that doesn’t mean you can’t brighten up your day with some shine.

Copy: Juxtaposing against cold winter blues and greys, peach is the perfect shade to brighten up a look without looking too overdone. A universally flattering colour, peach and its bronzy-orange cousin add the youthful freshness we all crave during this time of year.

Copy: Everyone’s favourite fashion decade is finally making a comeback and we are loving it! Show off your 70s style with on-trend oversized frames. Whatever your preference be, it round or square, go back in time to fashion’s favourite era and make it big with an oversized style.

Copy: Because you can never have too much bling, add a bit of glitz to your look with a pair of embellished shades. Chic, elegant with a hint of glam, these will give your outfit the perfect finishing touch it’s been seeking.

Copy: Go intergalactic with funky visor style sunglasses. Statement and very out there, you can expect to see more of this design in the coming months as several designers showed them on the recent SS18 runways.

Copy: Howdy partner! If you’re rocking the cowboy boot trend, you’ll need some equally standout eyewear. Rectangular frames with a double bridge will do the trick, but be sure to keep your look subtle and opt for a thinner style – extra points if they’re gold!
